Centennial CO Chiropractors Discuss Causes of Back Pain

Centennial CO Chiropractors discuss the causes of back pain and how chiropractic can help. According to the United States National Library of Medicine back pain affects 8 out of 10 people in the United States. So, the question is what causes back pain? The cause of back pain from person to person will differ; some will suffer from disc conditions such as a bulged disc or degenerative disc diseases.  Both of these conditions will cause back pain but it is important to know what condition you have in order to treat you properly.

Conditions that cause back pain:

Other conditions that cause back pain are muscle problems such as muscle weakness or muscle spasms. Muscle weakness will lead to improper muscle imbalance which, will lead to other muscles having to work harder leading to inflammation of that area causing pain.  Muscle spasms on the other hand may be do to improper biomechanics causing one muscle to be over used. A classic example of this is the piriformis syndrome, when the pelvis rotates this causes this little muscle to over react causing the entrapment of the sciatic nerve. This entrapment of the sciatic nerve causes symptoms of sciatica.

Other reasons for back pain maybe do to a bone problem such as spinal stenosis or bone spurs. The examples given here are just some of the reasons of the cause of back pain. As you can see there are a number of reasons why you might be having back pain so it is extremely important that you’re diagnosed and treated properly.
